Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised; and His greatness is unsearchable.
— PSALM 145:3
THE GREATNESS OF GOD
There are no words big enough to contain the greatness of our God.
We search for language to describe Him, yet the Bible says His greatness is unsearchable—meaning the more you discover Him, the more there still is to discover.
God is not just great because of what He does.
He is great because of WHO He is.
His greatness stretches beyond time, beyond human limitation, beyond every problem we could face. And the beautiful part? This great God is also deeply personal. The One who hangs the stars is the same God who hears your whispered prayers. The God who spoke galaxies into existence is the same God who calls you by name.
When you feel overwhelmed, remember: Your situation has a limit. Your God does not.
When life feels heavy, remember:
The greatness of God does not shrink just because your strength feels small.
When you face the impossible, remember: Great is the Lord—and greatly to be praised—because nothing is too great for Him.
Every time you worship, you magnify Him—not because He becomes bigger, but because your perspective does. You begin to see that the God who parted the Red Sea, who shut the mouths of lions, who raised Jesus from the dead—
is the same God who is working in your life right now.
Let His greatness lift your faith today. Let His greatness silence your fear. Let His greatness remind you: If God is for you, who can be against you?
PRAYER 🙏🏽
Father, thank You for Your unsearchable greatness. Open my eyes today to see You as You truly are—limitless, powerful, faithful, and near. Let the greatness of who You are overshadow every worry, every burden, and every battle. Increase my faith, enlarge my vision, and help me walk today with confidence that the great God of heaven is with me and for me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
